[{"text":"This will be a 2-part article, this week we will be discussing Sinestro + King Shark, then the next week we will cover Killer Frost + King Shark.
"},{"header":"SINESTRO + KING SHARK"},{"text":"King Shark provides a rare power to the player, consistency through gaining VP each turn. There really isn't anyone like him. Generating VP is not very easy task for a starting character.

When teamed with Sinestro, the synergy is unbelievable. Each hand gets buffed with an extra card by triggering Sinestro's ability of drawing a card for gaining the first VP of your turn. Every third or fourth turn a +1 power is generated by King Shark. This allows you for an incredible balanced and fast start."},{"image":[{"src":"scr161719screensh.png"},{"caption":""}]},{"header":"attack aggressively"},{"text":"Attack cards can give you card advantage against other players. Where as, several characters compliment Sinestro nicely, King Shark amplifies his speed. After all, not many cards trigger a card draw on the first turn of the game!

By digging deeper each turn, the return rate on buying attack cards is increased both hurting the opponents progress and gaining VP on the backside. When playing other characters, buying attack cards are usually the proper play. When playing Sinestro, you capitalize by it. You MUST buy as many attack cards as possible to play a thematic Sinestro deck."},{"header":"Growing your power and establishing order"},{"text":"There comes a time in the game that a hard decision must be made...

That decision is to continue using the self-built draw mechanic or to dedicate to the VP generation for the sake of gaining VP. On a really good Sinestro game, you can easily end the game with 20+ VP.

King Shark's max is 4 VP. So you basically just use him for the acceleration. But, once your deck is good enough, you should abandon the Shark and start storing the VPs.

Since Sinestro gains VP each time your attacks go through, you will only want to stop using King Shark once your deck is good enough.

How do you know if your deck is good enough? Well, that's a gut call by you. It can be a tough decision. Usually, you would want several starters destroyed and\/or the ability to play an attack card nearly every turn.

Learning when to continue drawing cards or switch to VP gain becomes a important part of playing this pairing."},{"header":"Must buys"},{"text":"Clearly, all attack cards are your priority to buy. But here are a few cards we have highlighted to look out for besides attack cards:"},{"double":[{"src":"e-m328453e-man-ba.jpg"},{"src":"s-t520633s-transm.jpg"}]},{"text":"Man-Bat serum is ridiculous for this team. It is very likely to get 4 or more power when played. Losing this card to its own effect, is not a bad exchange, when thinking 1 VP was traded up for 3 or more VP. It can often be used for a +10 (then destroys itself).

Transmutation is a solid destroy card as well. It keeps the draw mechanic going and allows one of the best options for destroying in the game. It's just another great way to interact with your VP on top of destroying cards. Plus, you can use it to gain cards in the line-up if it comes down to it.

These cards are high priorities for the Sinestro player! In fact, if you ask certain players, they will tell you to always buy the Man-Bat Serum... Over any other card available. Even the Super Villain. However, that is for you to decide."},{"header":"WHY PLAY THIS COMBO?"},{"text":"This team up doesn't provide character based power boosts. Instead, it provide cycling speed that other pairings can not meet early game. Sinestro has one of the most unique abilities in the game, and King Shark can interact with VP in a way no other character can.

Late game, you are provided with a chance to win the game in a way besides buying Super-Villains.

This team brings consistency, double dipping on attack benefits, and options for chasing VPs. A solid team up to be feared."},{"image":[{"src":"scr503788screensh.png"},{"caption":"Constructs of Fear"}]}]
