Consider the cards Bedovian and You Have Failed This City. Both cards now effectively have the same play text of:<br>"},{"list":[{"listType":"bullet"},{"caption":"+2 Power. This has been changed, and now a player enters into a Confrontation when playing a main deck card with the text "Confrontation: X", and that effect is added to the cards text. Once a player is in a Confrontation they can use abilities that trigger during Confrontations or that require players to be in a Confrontation to use them.<br>"},{"list":[{"listType":"bullet"},{"caption":"Ex. 1.) A player plays Book of Parallax after they have made an Attack earlier in the turn. The player is now in a Confrontation, and they draw one card."},{"caption":"Ex. 2.) This change applies to all FAAs that do not specify a penalty for failing to perform the requested action.<br><br>For instance, Deathstroke has you destroy a Hero, Super Power or Equipment. Previously if you had no cards of the matching type then you lucked out, and suffered no penalty from Deathstroke's FAA. All such attacks now include a phrase similar to "for each you don't, gain a Weakness", "if you cannot, gain a Weakness", "if you discard\/destroy no cards, gain a Weakness", etc.<br><br>As shown by Deathstroke, this update applies to previously legal SVs as well as new SVs entering the cube. If an effect instructs them to do so, instead no card is passed and it's as if the player was not instructed to pass a card. This should reduce any negative play experience that would result from resolving his play text while helping make sure that he is remembered for his devastating FAA."},{"header":"Rules Update: Teamwork"},{"text":"Each Main Character from the Crossover 5: The Rogues set has the ability "Teamwork: That foe gains 1 VP". This ability may no longer be used. Previously a player could discard a Starter to Time Travel a card in the Line-Up on turn one.
