When resolving a Super Villain First Appearance Attack, it will resolve against the player who most recently completed their turn first (i.e. the player that beat the previous SV), followed by the remaining players in turn order.

2.) When the final Super Villain is defeated, play continues through the end of the current turn cycle. i.e if player #2 defeats the final SV then players three and four each get to take one more turn, then the game ends. This also means that there might not be an SV on the stack during a player's final turn.

3.) During the Main Character draft, a player make take any MC from a previously passed tier by paying tier points equal to the current tier level for that MC. ex: All players pass on tier-1 MCs. The first drafter now has the option of taking any tier-2 or tier-1 MC for the cost of 2 tier points.

4.) With the unbanning of Giganta [Villain], the Confrontation mechanic is now a keyword in the game. This keyword has no effect, but can be interacted with by effects that look for the Confrontation keyword (similar to how Krypto [Hero] can look for cards with the Assist keyword, although Assist has no effect). The keyword Confrontation is not to be confused with the set Confrontations. For instance, Giganta can return Ganthet and Sayd [Hero] to your hand, but cannot return Amnesty Bay [Location].

5.) With the unbanning of Johnny Quick [Super Villain], the Stack Ongoing mechanic is now a keyword in the game. This keyword has no effect, which means that while Johnny Quick is on the SV stack there are no restrictions to a player drawing cards.

6.) When a player places a Frozen token on a card, that player may also place a frozen token in their play area. There is an update to how triggers are handled, which is covered in the following section.
"},{"header":"handling triggered effects"},{"text":"To help understand this rules change, a quick refresher of abilities (also known as Type A or Type B abilities) is in order. From the rule book:

1.101: Type A.) Abilities that trigger on an action being taken (attack, avoid (an attack), buy, defeat, destroy, discard, gain, pass (a card), pay (VP), play, rotate, shuffle, teamwork, etc) or a player reaching a certain point of the game (start of turn, end of turn, etc) are classified as Type A. Abilities that read 'X or more', 'the Nth', 'start of turn', 'end of turn', etc trigger as soon as their condition or appropriate time is met, and will not trigger again during the same turn. Abilities that read '(some benefit) for each', 'each time', 'when', 'whenever', etc can trigger an unlimited number of times per turn.

1.102: Type B.) Passive abilities (you pay one less, you are considered to control, you go first, etc), and abilities that allow a player to take an action are classified as Type B. These abilities may be used, or not, at the players discretion.

Although these definition remains unchanged, a new classification has been created as follows:

1.103: Type C.) Type C effects cover Type A abilities for which a player may receive a missed trigger penalty for not resolving.

Type C abilities are generally considered to be triggered effects for which a player can gain a significant advantage by not resolving. Let's look at an example to help understand this distinction. The first persistent\/ongoing ability is type B.
2.) The next persistent\/ongoing ability is type C.

Cyborg (Base Set)
1.) The first persistent\/ongoing ability is type A.
2.) The next persistent\/ongoing ability is type A.

We can see that Constantine has a Type B and a Type C ability, while each of Cyborg's abilities are classified as Type A.

Let's assume a player uses Constantine's ability and reveals their top card, which is a Kick [Super Power]. They choose to use Constantine's ability to play it for an +1 additional Power. At the end of the turn if the player fails to destroy the Kick they can receive a missed trigger penalty for failure to resolve the trigger generated by Constantine. This is because they are gaining an advantage by keeping the card, typically by discarding it with any other cards they played during that turn.

Compare this to Cyborg's second ability: if you play one or more Equipment during your turn, draw a card. If a player plays two equipment without resolving Cyborg's effect to draw a card then the player has missed a trigger, but will not receive a missed trigger penalty. This is because they have not gained a distinct advantage by not drawing a card.

This change means that, for any Type A trigger that is missed, either intentionally or accidentally, the game state will not be paused or backed up, and play continues as-if the player elected not to resolve the trigger. Players now have the choice to purposely skip their triggers at their discretion, and any type A triggers that are missed will not result in any penalties.

Some examples of reasons a player may not draw with Cyborg in the previous example include: "},{"list":[{"listType":"bullet"},{"caption":"Drawing a card would cause them to shuffle, which they do not want to do"},{"caption":"They have stacked a Defense on top (say with Deadshot) and they would prefer not to draw the Defense right now"},{"caption":"They forgot, and don't need to be further punished with unnecessary rules violations"}]},{"text":"To this end, the rules have been updated to reflect cards and MCs with Type C abilities.
