Hello everyone, for our article this week Coiser and Leilin (雷燐 ⑨ 奚) collaborated to bring you some hot tech just in time for winter! Unlike most other Teamworker MCs, SaintWave is best played from first position so that you can have the best shot at buying a Hero on your first turn.

The team doesn't need to focus on anything other than obtaining Heroes or destruction cards early on, making it fairly straightforward to play. You have the option of moving into other card types as the game progresses without worrying about losing effectiveness and the team tends to becomes stronger once other teams begin destroying their Starters thanks to Heatwave's Teamwork ability.

A few general guidelines about the team to get us started:
bullet
When given the opportunity, its typically correct to destroy a 1 VP card from your discard pile to trigger Heatwave because the card you get can be put on top of your deck to help improve your next turn
Buy multiple cards instead of a single expensive card. An early Hero allows us start using Saint Walker's destruction ability as early as turn 3 (after we've shuffled in any Heroes we bought on the first two turns). While any Hero serves this role just fine, the main deck has gifted us with some niche Heroes that tend to wheel the first few turns, so there is still hope you'll get one even if your not playing out of first position.

A few of these niche Heroes that tend to be passed up are shown below, and we're happy to pick up any of them. Because of how narrow some of the cards are, these tend to be passed up in lieu of other cards early in the game when players don't have enough other cards that interact with them yet. Your plan here should be to destroy any low cost cards you reveal, including any of those cheap Heroes we discussed above once they have outlived their usefulness. Just keep enough Heroes so you can continue using Saint Walker reliably while preserving your best cards and anything worth two or more VP.

For instance: buying Alfred early is great for us because of his synergy with Saint Walker. Play him as a Vulnerability early and often to destroy Starters from your deck. Later in the game, once the majority of your Starters have been destroyed, if you find yourself with little to no equipment for him to interact with then watch for an opportunity to destroy Alfred and let Heatwave exchange him for something better!

The mid-game is also a great time to branch out and begin buying some niche cards that go well with your team.
