[{"text":"Hey everyone, Malkoir back again with more DCDB strategy for you!

Amidst the hole left from the gutting of the teamwork mechanic, Deadshot rose from the ashes of obscurity to become, in my opinion, a versatile and strong pick Previously, opponents could track the good cards you put on top with him, and specifically target you with Teamwork in order to get the advantage; it was almost like Deadshot was helping them more than he was helping you! With the change to Teamwork randomly choosing an opponent, he no longer automatically feeds teamwork characters a good card. This change is probably the biggest aspect of why he is now so much better than he used to be!

After extensive testing and experimentation, I present to you one of my favorite combinations that has proven to perform well against the majority of main MC Combo threats we see in the current competitive environment. When equipped with a few good cards, it can really put on a beating; prepare for a few of your opponents to start crying.

The team is:"},{"header":"deadshot, batgirl, the comedian"},{"image":[{"src":"dea562468deadshot.jpg"},{"caption":""}]},{"image":[{"src":"bat674811batgirl-.jpg"},{"caption":""}]},{"image":[{"src":"the548125the-come.jpg"},{"caption":""}]},{"header":"core strategy"},{"text":"Deadshot is the core of the team, and we will repeatedly use him to put good cards back on top of our deck. Batgirl puts in a lot of work for us here; she serves dual functions, because she triggers Deadshot by her ability, and her ability is basically a near 100% reliable draw on any given hand. If an opponent does something that gives you a Deadshot trigger during their turn, you are basically guaranteed to be able to Batgirl into it on your next turn. If they don't, Batgirl will still let you trigger Deadshot on your own turn for a small cost. The strength here is in the reliability these two create.

Comedian makes this combo even stronger. Comedian was recently reduced to a tier-2, and I think he currently sits as one of the most powerful 2s, and he should not be ignored. He is the easiest trigger of a draw out of any tier 2, requiring only a single villain to be played. This alone makes him strong and especially suited to the combo, since we want easy drawing of the cards we've put on top with Deadshot. He does make the team lean towards villains which might be a turnoff for some; however, the cost reduction for Attacks makes cheap Villains all the more an attractive option, and it usually comes in handy regardless of what type you end up buying. There are some good Locations, Super Powers, etc with relevant Attacks that you can readily pick up for cheaper than they would be otherwise, so keep an eye out for them as well.

To maximize your potential with this team, make sure you put thought into how you sequence your plays. You need to take maximum advantage of Deadshot's ability to put cards on top of your deck before using Batgirls Punch-draw and Comedian's Villain-draw. This combo greatly benefits from finesse and the order you sequence your plays in.

Your most basic sequence of plays is as follows:
Assuming you have a Punch and a Villain in your hand, discard your Punch to draw with Batgirl. This triggers Deadshot. Resolve Deadshot to put a good 5-or-less cost card on top of your deck. Play the Villain in your hand, and Draw the card you put on top with Comedian.

If your opponent triggers Deadshot on their turn, then you can put a Villain on top, and next turn draw it with Batgirl, setting up your next draw from Comedian. These are the two most basic plays, and there are a multitude of others you'll find as you play the team. Mastering your ability to reliably use each of your MCs as often as possible will be your key to success."},{"header":"dream cards"},{"double":[{"src":"sca968758scarecro.jpg"},{"src":"pho373605phobia.jpg"}]},{"double":[{"src":"ban909733bane-4.jpg"},{"src":"par118649parasite.jpg"}]},{"text":"This combo wants a pesky Attack that costs 5 or less, and for it to preferably be a Villain. Phobia and Bane are ridiculous. Collecting more Attacks and Villains throughout the game will strengthen the deck and make your opponents pray for Defense cards to show up. (Note: buy them if they come out, so no one can escape your onslaught!) If you get an early Scarecrow then it's all over but the crying."},{"header":"fine cards to have in your deck"},{"double":[{"src":"red796217red-lant.jpg"},{"src":"dea142324dead-kin.jpg"}]},{"double":[{"src":"mys124824mystic-c.jpg"},{"src":"cat769671catwoman.jpg"}]},{"text":"The general idea during the game if for you to get at least a couple Villains and some Attacks. Hopefully at least one of your opponent's will trigger your Deadshot regularly, allowing you top deck a 5 or less Villain. When it comes to your turn, use Batgirl to draw your top decked Villain, triggering Deadshot and topping another good card, to then be drawn by playing your Villain you just drew with Batgirl. You will begin to find yourself always having a villain in hand each turn, since you keep recycling them with your Deadshot shenanigans.

Outside of Attack cards, this combo has some other powerful applications. Since you are basically guaranteed a Punch will be in your hand every turn, you\u2019ll always be topping a card (and drawing) at least once a turn. This can set up Defenses, or accelerate you towards Destroy cards. In many games, even without being given a powerful Attack, the sheer utility of the combo still kept me comfortably vying for first place."},{"image":[{"src":"asd361209asdf.png"},{"caption":""}]},{"text":"I find this combo to be solid. Most of what you have going on deals with just yourself and not what cards come out, similiar to when you are playing Harley Quinn + Weather Wizard. Villains and Attacks will, in a little bit of time, create a self-recycling Attacking engine. Attacks that force players to discard are a win no matter who gets ahold of them, so you don't have to prioritize them quite as highly as you otherwise would. Without it, you still will enjoy luxuries of sequencing and utility that your opponents will not.

I hope you've enjoyed my article, and I feel sorry for your future opponents if you play this team against them!"}]
